Prosecutions

crown court prosecution fire safety lawyers solicitorsOne of the ultimate powers of an inspector is the ability to bring a prosecution.  We have experience of dealing with fire safety prosecutions in both the Magistrates Court and Crown Court.

If you are served with a summons to attend court, it is important to get your strategy right from the outset because the penalties can be severe – in some cases, there is the ability of an unlimited fine and/or imprisonment. We are sometimes asked whether it is better for your case to be heard in the Crown Court or the Magistrates Court.  This very much depends on the nature of the charges and we are happy to advise on a case-by case basis.
Please note that we do not undertake any legal aid or personal injury work.
